Skilled Immigration Visa for Canada
Canada has been welcoming foreign skilled workers and professionals, to contribute to Canada's growing economy. Skilled workers are eligible to apply to Canada, under the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) program 2019.
Under the FSW program, Express Entry is the most popular Canadian Immigration program designed to provide a permanent settlement option for skilled immigrants.
The application for Express Entry is assessed on the following factors;
- Work experience
- Whether you have a valid job offer
- English and/or French language skills
- Adaptability (how well you are likely to settle in Canada)
Foreign skilled workers have the options to apply under the following programs;
Federal Skilled Worker Program
Skilled foreign workers and professionals meeting all requirements, with a high CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score and choose to apply to live in any province of their choice in Canada.
Atlantic High-Skilled Program

Provincial Nomination Programs (PNP’s)
Each of the 10 provinces in Canada has its own skilled worker programs, for those intending to work and live in that province.
These provinces provide a provincial nomination certificate, which helps to expedite the immigration process. Its an occupation based process and hence, at times a lot faster than most Canadian Immigration programs (for example Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) and Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)).
